Indy 500: Dario FranchittiDario Franchitti won the Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500) for the second time on Sunday.

The 37-year-old racer from Scotland, who started in third, had just enough fuel left to cross the finish line ahead of runner-up Dan Wheldon and his compatriot Alex Lloyd.

With Franchitti’s win, Chip Ganassi became the first team owner to win the Indy and NASCAR’s Daytona 500 in the same year.

“The second time feels just as good,” Franchitti said. “To come back after going away for a year, then win the championship and the Indy 500, I’m pretty damn near speechless right now.”
